How To Get Into Vancouver Nightclubs Quicker

By Matt Coolen

Ok, so as if going to a club isn't tough enough right, first you have to pick what you want to wear, get dressed, get ready, do your make up blah blah blah, just to show up to the spot you've been talking about and selling your friends on all week, and wait in line for an hour to possibly not get in the club at all, just to end up rushing through megabite by two am so you can grab a slice and be first in line for the afterhours.

Sound familiar?

Alright, let's work on this problem together. First things first, getting into a club largely depends on the group of people you are with.

For instance, if you are a group of 14 dudes, all with the same haircut, and decked out in Ed Hardy shirts, or even better yet, of course my favorite; all have your collars popped on your polo's (see pop your collar), then chances are you may be out of luck depending on how busy that particular club is. What you'll want to do first of course is change what you're wearing because you look stupid.

Second break up into smaller groups, grab some of the hottest ladies you can find that will actually let you walk into the club with them and try again.

When trying to beat the line:

I know this is gonna be a tough one for most of you, are you ready for it.....try being polite. Approach the lovely lady holding the guestlist and maybe ask her how she is this evening and how long of a wait there will be before getting in, now if you can manage to hold a smile, all the while not asking her once if she knows who you are or telling her how long you may have known the owner for (which by the way she knows is a lie, because otherwise you would either be on his list or would have called him already) then this process is going to run a lot smoother for you.

Now chances are unless the guestlist girl is having a bad night and you are a relatively good looking group and have followed my instructions so far you will be asked to step into the guestlist line at that point wait, usually guestlist lines move fairly quickly, and obviously the earlier you show up at the club the quicker the line is going to move. Once in line please don't ask twice how long it will be, otherwise you will find that this can make things take a lot longer.

If you don't want to wait at all and don't mind paying a little extra usually $10 - $20 per person will make the bouncers happy enough to push you through right away, just make sure you have the money ready and concealed so it's not an obvious spectacle or else they may just act like they have no idea what you are talking about and not let you in at all.

Last but not least, to avoid all the headaches of everything above and get complete VIP treatment, even if you are a complete nobody then take the simplest route - Book a table before hand! (See the bottle service guide)

Tonight when you see me on the inside, no thanks required....but I will be accepting vodka and red bulls.
