Republic Nightclub Review

Even though getting into Republic can be tough, since DHM is widely known for having the toughest clubs in the city to get passed the doors, even on the guestlist expect a wait (see my getting passed the ropes guide for a few hints) you will love the vibe in this club once you are in.

Immediately upon entrance you are faced with a set of stairs, you can go up or walk passed them, I always walk passed them, on the main level is the dance floor, which is usually pretty crowded but its nice to see what kind of faces are there, even if just a quick walk by. Keep going through and don't bother stopping for a drink at the bottom bar, Ill bring you to a less crowded spot.

Go up the steps on the other side of the lower level passed the dance floor, at the top you will see the semi sectioned off bottle service area, chances are if I'm in the spot that night you'll see the team in this area.

Keep going and you'll see the upstairs bar, usually very crowded, don't worry, I'm not walking you into a trap, trust me, keep going.

Passed the upstairs bar in the back corner it will look empty, follow it, you will enter the glass patio room with a separate DJ usually spinning hiphop, but who cares what's playing (for right now) I've lead you to the empty bar. Bang Bang. Drink up.

Republic is one of the hottest clubs in the city, for a good reason - the crowd is very upscale and sexy, the venue is gorgeous, its right on the strip and it runs 7 days a week....you can't beat that.

Table Service:
Table service (aka Bottle service if you are from out of town) at Republic is like sticky floors and the movie theatre, its part of the experience, it has to be done. This club is where the elite congregate, I've done more networking at Republic then any other club in the city, and there is no better way to network and meet some gorgeous women then to invite someone back to your table or a drink.

My only complaint with the bottle service at Republic would be the same complaint I have with all of Vancouver, the actual service part has never really been mastered, and that can matter when you are waiting for your next round. Unfortunately because of horrible BC liquor laws they can't leave your bottle at your table, and the waitresses can't be everywhere at once, which isn't there fault. My advice is to make sure you tip nicely up front and you'll be remember for the evening.

Rupublic's Hottest Night:
Saturday or Wednesday. Hands down. Republic is one of the only clubs in the city with a truly hot Wednesday night. Catch everyone there, it can get crazy though, if you want a Saturday night at Republic shoot me an email today and we'll make it happen. If you're one of the lucky ones.
