Tunnel Nightclub

By Matt Coolen

The line is obviously the first thing you notice at Tunnel, it's fairly organized and quick to get through unless they are at capacity which isn't a rare occurrence as they are full at under 200 people, which may sound small but when you experience tunnel at full capacity, it is an awesome party.

When you first walk in you enter the main, and only room, at first look it is impossible to not notice how beautiful this place is. The walls are covered in screens which are constantly flashing hot images, the wall mounts and black chandeliers hanging from the ceiling give Tunnel an ultra-sexy, modern-gothic feel. The club is one strait strip, with its only bar to the left, and the dance floor (which as the night progresses turns into most of the club) and DJ booth at the back.

Table Service:
Table service (aka Bottle service if you are from out of town) is a must in my opinion at Tunnel, because it is a smaller venue so the dance floor spills all the way throughout the club, which creates an amazing party atmosphere, but to get through to the bar and make your escape with a handful of drinks without them ending up on your shirt can be tricky. Illuminated tables and their booths line the right hand wall all the way from the entrance to the back, while across the room in the front left hand corner is their super hot private room designed for larger bottle service groups. Next to the private room is another roped off booth designed for groups of 8, and when I'm at Tunnel you can always find me at the dance floor table beside the DJ booth.

As most clubs in Vancouver, bottle service here isn't quite up to par with what it is in major US cities, so expect to end up pouring most of your own drinks, and asking to have your ice bucket refilled.

Tunnel's Hottest Night:
Tunnel has one of the hottest crowds in the city on Friday night, here you can always expect to see some of the cities most beautiful people.

Tip: If you actually want to be able to get into the club on friday or saturday and be one of the beautiful people, you should either:

A) Be sexy as hell

B) Buy Pedro the GM lots of drinks when you see him out.

C) Get to the club by around 10 or 10:30 and avoid getting left out in the rain, but just in case.... Bring an umbrella.
